The Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology follows a scientist-practitioner model, giving students hands-on experience in healthcare and health psychology and close mentorship with a research advisor. Students also conduct independent research and contribute to professional literature, preparing them for research-focused careers or roles that integrate clinical practice or research.

The M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis prepares graduates with the coursework required for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) while providing a strong foundation in experimental analysis. Students gain expertise in applying ABA, a widely recognized and effective approach for supporting individuals with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism, under the guidance of full-time faculty with expertise in the field.

The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepares students to become mental health counselors equipped to prevent and treat a wide range of mental health concerns. The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) uses empirically supported principles to address behavioral concerns and support skill development, with particular recognition for its effectiveness in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Rowan’s program also meets the coursework requirements for those pursuing BCBA/BCaBA Pathway 2 eligibility.

The Certificate of Advanced Study (CAGS) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is designed for individuals with a master’s degree in counseling (or a related field) who need additional graduate coursework to complete the 60-credit requirement for LAC licensure, ultimately leading to LPC licensure after completing the necessary clinical experience. The program also supports mental health professionals seeking advanced training, providing courses that enhance practical knowledge and skills, while licensure candidates should review their state board’s regulations and requirements.

Students develop research and leadership skills through coursework in research design, data analysis, performance management, and professional dissemination, preparing them for doctoral study, advanced applied practice, or supervisory roles.

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) prepares students with the knowledge, values, and skills to work with diverse populations across a range of settings, including client engagement, needs assessments, outreach, and case management. Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce, or with a 3.0 GPA from an accredited BSW program, may apply for accelerated Advanced Standing in the Master of Social Work program.

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Certificate provides students with research-backed strategies to address behavioral challenges and support skill development. This program is especially recognized for preparing students to provide effective behavioral support for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.

Rowan University’s Music Therapy Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is intended for students who have already completed a Bachelor’s in Music. This program will be offered in conjunction with the Bachelor of Music, Concentration in Music Therapy. Students in the program will be prepared to become a Board-Certified Music Therapist and to continue in graduate studies in Music Therapy.
