Designed for registered nurses with at least a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) who wish to earn a nurse practitioner certificate, our Family Nurse Practitioner advanced graduate certificate has 100% online coursework.

Upon successfully completing the course sequence, students in our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner advanced graduate certificate program will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to take the certification exam.

Graduates of our online Wellness Coaching Graduate Certificate program will be prepared to sit for the National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBCHWC) certification exam.

The B.A. in Health Studies provides a bachelor’s degree completion program for students that have an Associate’s Degree and certification within a Medical Technology (MT) or Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) profession. Individuals with an AAS in a healthcare tech. related area may also be eligible and should contact the program advisor to ascertain eligibility. This program will provide students with critical professional skills such as problem-solving, leadership, multicultural sensitivity, and planning and organization.

The B.A. in Wellness Management incorporates the Dimensions of Wellness endorsed by the National Wellness Institute (NWI) and is aligned with the Wellness Promotion Competency Model identified by the NWI that enables graduates to meet the criteria to become Certified Wellness Practitioners. 

The B.S. in Athletic Training is divided into a three-year Pre-Athletic Training Curriculum (undergrad) and a two-year Professional Athletic Training Program (grad). Students will be eligible for the Board of Certification Exam once completing the Master of Science in Athletic Training.

The B.S. in Exercise Science prepares students for careers such as Clinical Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, Corporate Fitness, Medical and Community-Based Fitness and Wellness Centers, and other related fields. Graduates will be prepared to earn national certifications through organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and the International Society of Sports Nutrition, among others.

The B.S. in Nursing prepares Registered Nurses to work in the ever-expanding field of nursing. This degree allows nurses to augment their knowledge base and thus enhance their careers. 

The B.S. in Nutrition prepares graduates to work as nutrition educators and counselors serving clients in healthcare, worksites, community, and school-based wellness and fitness programs. This is a stand-alone degree program, however, students can apply for admission into a Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD) in their second year in the nutrition major.

The B.S. in Public Health & Wellness prepares students to understand and address the conditions and behaviors that advance or impede the public’s health. The program is in the process of becoming accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health.

Students enrolled in our flexible, fully online Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) program will gain additional knowledge, skills, and attributes in leadership, management, education, research, and/or advanced clinical practice that will enable them to meet their current professional goals and prepare them for practice as advanced degree respiratory therapists.

The School Nursing Certificate prepares NJ RN licensed nurses who hold a bachelor’s degree to assume a multifaceted role that supports the physical, mental, emotional and social health of students and their success in the learning process.

The Pre-Health Studies Post-Baccalaureate is designed for individuals who are interested in a career in the health professions but have little or no background in science. The coursework focuses on the foundational prerequisites required of health profession schools including but not limited to medical and dental school.

This program is designed to provide students the opportunity to acquire a highly sought after BSN degree, whose quality is enhanced through combining the expertise and strengths of Rowan's Department of Nursing and Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing.
